Answer:
I believe that GCU’s Christian heritage makes the GCU academic experience different than a non-faith based university because it welcomes students, faculty, and staff from all walks of life whether they are Christians or not. GCU purpose is to educate its students centered on “following Jesus Christ in word and deed, and in sharing the love of Christ generously to all who participate in the life of the community” (GCU).
This Christian value will add a more positive learning experience knowing my instructors have the same beliefs as I do. Being born in a Baptist family and also being baptized in a Baptist church at an early age, I have a great love for God and all of God’s children. So I have the greatest faith that I will receive the best education there is to be offered from caring God fearing instructors.
GCU addresses the need for spiritual competency by holding weekly bible studies, weekly Chapel services, making available the virtual newsletter GCU Hope and its local outreach throughout the community. I am very proud to be a part of the GCU family.
