Answer:
It is very important to carefully evaluate sources for credibility, reliability, and bias because first of all a lot sources of research online are not reliable such as Wikipedia, some sources may have not have proper pronunciation and detailed specifics of the research or topic you are assigned to do work or project on. Credibility is very important because some authors work is untrue and, have no other sources to back up their work. Often times authors will rewrite someone else work in their own works deeming that the work or sources are in fact not credibility. In effectively relying on credibility it very important that you are able to have some other reliable resources to back up the original writer claims. Reliability is also very important, you will want to know where the research was published, if there are any new updates on the resources that do not support the original resources and can I trust the new research, because if the work has no truth behind it this could lead to mislead thoughts and ideas about the subject matter. Being bias is not a good thing to do especially in reading resources because this tends to bring on prejudice thoughts about the author and this can be easy unfair and wrong. Some possible consequences for not evaluating sources for the above items could result in poor grades, incomplete letter grade, and or plagiarism and these consequences could also lead to failing the course or, being expelled from school. “The central work of life is interpretation”.
