The potential consequences of Stevens academic dishonesty was that he could get kicked out of the university and not be able to graduate. Also, there was the potential that other universities wouldn’t admit him so he wouldn’t be able to transfer credits and graduate somewhere else either.
If I was in a similar situation as Steven, I would of used better time management and not of waited until the night before, to start my project. However, for some reason if I did, I would just pull an all nighter until the assignment was completed by my own work, not someone else’s.
A resource at GCU that you could use so you don’t resort to academic dishonesty is the Turnitin program. Before you turn in any assignment to your instructor you can turn it in there to make sure what you wrote wasn’t used anywhere else. Also, you have to make sure if you are using other people’s thoughts or ideas that you site them. The Writing Resources in the classroom section will show you how to correctly site things.
