UNV 108 Week 5 Topic 5 Discussion Question 2
When writing an essay I would not write “My essay is about” or “The topic of this essay is”. I wouldn’t use either of these because I don’t think that you should have to tell the readers what your essay is about. If you just write about whatever topic you’re writing about the readers will automatically know what the topic and essay is about. I would defnitely stay away from those two lines at all times to make the best essay possible.
After reviewing the “How to Write a Five Paragraph Essay” I actually learned a lot and am very glad you gave us this resource. One of the things that I learned that will help me a lot in future essays is about the introduction. I always have had problems on knowing exactly what to write in the introducation of essays. In the article one thing it states is to start your introduction off with either a sentence, aneodote, quotation, or generalization. Improving your essay writing skills will help you in your professional and academic career because we will always be writing essays or even grading them. That is why we want to be the best we can at writing essays, and so we can also teach future students the proper way.
