Persuasion and manipulation are both strategies for convincing individuals to help you out or change their reasoning to coordinate yours. Notwithstanding, they take after altogether different styles persuasion does as such by displaying actualities in a positive light and indicating how they benefit the client, while manipulation does as such by forgetting information, playing with feelings and unscrupulously persuading somebody about something. Persuasion and manipulation are not twofold states; it is conceivable to have one with shades of the other (Siggelkow, 2007).

During my marketing job I often meet clients and to convince them to buy a product, I persuade them on why the product suits them. To achieve my target, I end up manipulating them on some other benefits that one would get when they use the product, the benefits in the real sense do not exist.
