Need for Change

Discuss a situation when a leader refused to change their leadership style or did not recognize a need for change in order to achieve desired results. What were the reasons for the change? What were the results? Respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts with constructive ideas, comments, or suggestions.

Fortunately, my experience with leadership has been relatively positive. I can recall one leader from my previous position as Talent Acquisition Partner, who did not recognize that he needed to communicate and develop better people skills. His bad attitude and lack of interpersonal skills resulted in mass turnover within our department. He expected things to be done a certain way, and it was difficult to accomplish when there was little to no direction in most cases. Rather than explain what was expected, he would just write employees up or let go on a whim. As a result, I ended up finding a new opportunity as well, and that Leader ended up facing a lawsuit for discrimination.
