With reference to Maslow Hierarchy I am personally motivated by the self -actualization need, getting the chance to be able to realize my full potential as well as fulfilling all my desires through expression of creativity and the sense of contributing to the whole world (Ray & Jason, 2016).

So as to find out what really motivates employees one needs to first get to know the employees better, this can be done through getting personal in that you get to know the employees on a personal level often done through after work activities since here they shed new lights on their habits. Having open ended brainstorm really helps for employees to open up and hence you get to know them better and get a hint on what motivates them in workplace.

Another way is through just asking the employees on what really motivates them so that you can get to know from their point of view. This way you get to know what to do so as to meet their motivational levels. You can also know what motivates the employees through trying to see what works with them during the many undertakings in the office and observing the motivational levels during their work force (Damij &Nadja, 2015).Since through recognizing how employees see their jobs and valuing what they offer helps all the workers to feel motivated to do great job in return.
