AMP 415 Module 7 DQ 2
Budgeting is a very important aspect in any job. The person doing the budget has a lot ot account for. They have to make sure that what they need is in supply and accessable. They also need to know prices and how much they have to spend in order to be able to get a dicent turn around in being able to make a profit and not make the company or business go under. I do a lot of dog sitting. When people drop their fur babies off at my home I have to make sure that I have enough food not only for their dogs but for mine as well. I also have to make sure that having them at my home I have to make sure that they pay me more then what I am putting into the dogs. So if I have to spend gas on picking them up, taking them to apointments or groomers, then I have to take into account the wear and tear of my vechile as well. Each month I have certian clients that constantly are out of town and either drop off their dogs or I have to drive to their residents and take care of them. I do not get paid until they return. So I have to budget how much money I will be able to spend at the time I have them or am going to them. Once I figure out how much it is going to cost me I give them a set price. Most of my prices are standard but sometime there are different events that cost a little more. Without constantly keeping my books, I definatly wouldn’t be able to continue my business. So I have to take into account: wear and tear on my vehicle, fluxuation on gas prices, dog food, water bill, dog treats, time spent per dog. Then I have to take into account my personal bills and how I am going to cover them. A great budget plan is the key to success.
