Answer 1. 

Reputation and credibility pressure was the environmental pressure faced by Intel and in turn demand from the customer also reduced. Market decline was there mainly because of following reasons-

Drop of economy

Iraq War

September 11 Crisis

These all factors affected the Company to a great extent and thus created the problem of market decline. Market decline not only affected the Intel but also it affected other chip makers.  Crisis affected the whole industry which reduced the demand of customers. There was expected decline of 34% of the semiconductor chip in the global market. The modems manufactured by the Intel were rejected by the people as they were not having the same speed as compared to their personal computers.

Intel started seeking in other fields like modem and router manufacturing. But this idea did not work as the main customer of the company became rivalries of the organization (For example, Dell) and they started looking for another manufacture of the chips for their product. This created the reputation and credibility pressure on the organization. Now, big crisis was being faced by the company which was not supposed to be stabilized soon. I-Cat, an e service by the Intel was also closed which reduced its credibility.

Answer 2. 

Broom pressure was experienced by Intel Corporation as internal environment pressure. Some new appliances were applied by the chief executive Barrett but these changes could not fit in the organization. Barrett put the company in discomfort zone and reduced the reputation of the organization. Being a new chief executive officer, Barrett wanted to bring changes in the corporation but his attempts could not get success. The organization was introduced some changes very first time like communication appliances which gave information about their product and services.

Although, he wanted to bring positive changes, but unfortunately, all those proved negative for the organization. As a result, identity of the corporation was threatened and it was providing benefits to the rivalries of the organization. The products of the Intel were being copied by several other firms having their own tag on the product. The reputation of the company was being openly challenged. CEO immediately started seeking for some strategic changes to balance the loss incurred because of wrong steps taken by him.

Clients of Intel were purchasing the product from other vendor because the chips produced by Intel were not fluffing their requirement. They want to use faster chips that could fit for their fast computers. Network operation groups and Communication units were conflicting with one another. They were giving the clients the same product and developed the internal competition. So, internal pressures were also taking birth at Intel Corporation at that same time.

Answer 3.

To put restrictions on the changes, the CEO of Intel could take the variety of steps. Firstly, he could forward the R&D not associated with the price but also do the similar for prospect disputes those could influence the corporation. The corporation should be prepared to undertake those alterations which can generate potential issues. These challenges comprise the competition and changes related to technologies. The Company must be acquainted with that other rivalries could do what type of modernization at their manufactured goods and what the Intel must do to thrash it.

Apart from these things, CEO of the company also could do the review of its employees, and clients, to be acquainted with that they are still emotionally involved to the strategic changes of the company or not. Barrett should be familiar with the method take their support against these challenges. He could make the company to be parallel with the transformations and corporation would not reduce its reputation and identity.

Answer 4.                                                                                                                        

Managers need to have a clear and personal perceptive about the pressures and they should have feeling about the changes those are to be made in order to reverse the affect of previously made changes. The major cause of the turning down of the corporation was that it could not assimilate the modifications introduced by the freshly appointed chief executive officer, Mr. Barrett. Mr. CEO could not synchronize the employees, and the clients of the corporation with the modifications made to conquer the internal and external pressures.

He couldn’t do so and these progressions brought on losing the identity and reputation of the company. In the event that the troughs and CEO of the organization have an unmistakable understanding about these factors, he can guarantee others to adjust to these and let them know why the progressions are occurring and what the results of these modifications are. Barrett chose to present the new arrangement of the enterprise and hence gave web related administrations to their purchasers. Additionally, he attempted to blend several units of company into one and wanted to remove the redundancies.
