Public agencies are embracing quality improvement theories and implementing quality theory and processes in their organizations.
As a manager in the quality improvement department within a State agency, develop a policy briefing process and information packet to inform and engage agency employees in implementing a LEAN system within the agency. First, create an explanation that defines the LEAN system and the reason for adopting the system. Secondly, create a visual representation of the process and the implementation timeline. Then develop an employee briefing session/agenda for presenting the information to employees that include:
The need for the policy/process change
The definition and explanation of LEAN and its value to the organization
The process implementation timeline
Specific examples of LEAN projects that have produced positive results in other organizations
The employee involvement plan
How the organization will approach making the changes permanent.
In addition to the agenda, prepare a written narrative presentation for each agenda item as many people will be presenting the information and they need a script. Also prepare a 1-page brochure handout to give to employees at the end of the presentation.
Length: The complete presentation packet should be 5-7 pages.
References: Include a minimum of five scholarly references.
The completed assignment should address all the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course.
