Life Action Plan
Review topics from previous weeks. Using the SMART Goal strategy-complete Life Action Plan worksheet that includes the following:
- Identify an aspect of your life, we have discussed in class, you feel needs to be improved.
- Consider selecting an area that will provide the greatest opportunity for growth or an area that can make the biggest impact on your success.
Complete the Life Action Plan.
Use the readings provided for Topics 1–7 to assist you in completing this assignment.

My life plane role is I want stay focus within my school work and maintain a B average or above
My long-term goals in this role – Identify one outcome you plan to achieve within the next 2 to 10 years in this role.
1. I want to graduate and earn a BA in Early Childhood Education.
2. To become more knowledgeable in the terms related to educate others of the early childhood
curriculum.
3. Be financially stable. I want to continue to provide for my family.

My short term goals in this role – These are outcomes you plan to achieve in 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month. Each one should bring you closer to achieving your long term goals.
1. My short-term goal is accomplish, maintain and submit assignments before or on due date.
2. Research and read lectures during any work breaks.
3. Use helpful resources that pertain to the goal such as working or volunteering.
4. Use maps to organize lessons of study to comprehend ideas and information (Groffman, 2015).
5. I want to organize notes more neatly while reading before starting assignments (Groffman, 2015).
General goals: Take one long-term goal you have listed above and complete the following information:
Identify your goal.
To earn my Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and I want to maintain a B average or above.
Identify benefits from reaching the goal.
When reaching the goal the benefits will be an increase in salary, once achieving my Bachelor Degree and moving up in the career lattice.
Describe obstacles and mountains to climb to reach this goal.
1. Keep moving forward, be attentive, and celebrate milestones.
2. Overcome the norm of stress in everyday life to make choices and achieve goals.
3. Control negative emotions that bring on abnormal behaviors, unhappiness, and frustration.
Describe skills or knowledge required to reach the goal.
1. Identifying what motivates me through good stress and to be able to modify unhealthy stress factors modifies lifestyle changes (Kotz, 2008).
2. Differentiate judgment and way of thinking. Use them to make set goals for self-awareness
3. Having an high EQ to maintain and balance routines with home and work helps to understand and identify behaviors to set goals (Social Learning Theory: How Close is Too Close, 2017).
4. Being aware of my learning style helps with challenges in the way of communicating, organizing and being attentive towards a goal (Learning and Memory, 2017).
5. Knowing the personality of myself and recognize the strengths people to interact with them. (Jung Personality test, 2011).
Identify groups, individuals, companies, and organizations that can help you reach this goal.
1. Organizations- Pennsylvania Key (PAKeys), Council for Professional Recognition (CDA).
2. Immediate family, close friends, and co-workers.
Plan of action to reach this goal (What specific steps will you take to accomplish this – these should be chronological steps (e.g., A, B, C, etc)
1. Identify priorities in life to complete goal.
2. I will prepare for class by reading syllabus and course material first.
3. Create a weekly calendar for myself or journal for activities and family task.
4. Ask myself what is important to help achieve goals that are priorities.
5. Use time management to analyze what task steps I need to achieve my goals.
