After reading the article, the characteristics I would rank as being the top three being most important are motivation, time management and self-reliance. Motivation is very important because without motivation you would be lazier and wouldn’t be encouraging yourself to do well in your education. Time management is also very important because if you don’t manage your school time vs your outside life, it’s a lot easier to choose the fun stuff over your school work. Lastly, self-reliance is an important way of being successful because it’s good to rely on your own ideas and powers other than others.

The three I think I will have the most difficulty with are time management, technology skills and internal locus of control. Right now I think my time management is very good, however, a year from now when I have a lot more going on in like I don’t know how good I will be. To overcome this I’m going to plan out my schedules for the week before. I’m also pretty decent at technology skills, but once the classes start getting harder and more in depth I think I will struggle a little more. When that happens I’ll just ask someone who knows a lot about computers and technology. Lastly, internal locus of control, I am going to overcome this by remembering I can’t control everything that happens. Sometimes life gets crazy and out of our hands.
