PSY 100 Topic 6 DQ 2
Bandura’s Social Learning Theory explains the phenomenon that individuals easily learn from each other through the observation process, then imitating the actions of the person who observed and the impacts of the employee cognitive process engage in when they are learning. When hiring someone they are often combined with a well-experienced employee for their training. They learn how to respond different ways to many situations more adequately than they could than reading the employee handbook. Bandura social cognitive theory explains how people learn on their own. This happens when people show self-control. People take in behavior when there is no outside support to back them up on what they should be doing. Bandura”s concept of self-efficacy is a process in which people evaluate the probability of successfully performing an assignment based on their past mastery (Thompson, 2013).
